Setting Up Info-Mac To HTML

As the files are expanded on your system you will find a folder named Info-Mac To HTML. Inside this folder you will find the Info-Mac To HTML application and a folder named Graphics which contains a collection of JPEG and GIF files. You will need to move or copy this folder according to your setup.

  • First you will want store the Info-Mac To HTML application in an appropriate location like your applications folder.

  • Next, you will probably want to create a folder where you want to store your converted files. This will make it easier to find the files you have converted. By default, the HTML files will be stored in the same folder as the original digest but you may change the destination folder through the preferences dialog.

  • There are three files which you should copy from the HTML files folder (which should be found in the release folder) to the folder that you have created above. These files are
    • Info-Mac.Issues.HTML
    • Info-Mac.IssuesAndTopcs.HTML
    • CONTENT.HTML

Graphics

Info-Mac To HTML will produce HTML files which use graphics for such things as icons and background patterns. For these files to be viewed properly, the graphics files will have to be located in specific folders which can be changed by making an entry in the preferences for the program. By default, no folder is specified so the graphics files must be in the same folder as the HTML files. If a folder is specified, the web browser that you will be using will look in that folder for the graphics file. There are two scenarios which can be created for the graphics folder.

NOTE

If the Force Absolute Filenames option is not checked, the program will produce the shortest filename possible. If the option is checked, full filenames will be generated (if a path is specified) allowing you to view the HTML files if they are moved.
